Applicant Age Limit

UPSC CAPF 2025 Qualification

UPSC CAPF 2025 Selection Process
Candidates will be selected based on Written Exam.
Written Examination
The written examination to be conducted by Union Public Service Commission will be held on 03rd August, 2025 and will comprise two papers. Paper I will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon and Paper II will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Physical Standards Tests/Physical Efficiency Tests
Candidates who are declared qualified in the written examination will be summoned for Physical Standards Tests/Physical Efficiency Tests. Those candidates who meet the prescribed Physical Standards as specified in Appendix-VI, will be put through the Physical Efficiency Tests as indicated below:
Interview/Personality Test
Candidates who are declared qualified in the Physical Standards Tests (PST) /Physical Efficiency Tests (PET), will be called for Interview/Personality Test to be conducted by Union Public Service Commission. Candidates who are declared unqualified in the Physical Efficiency Test will not be called for Interview/Personality Tests. The Interview/Personality Test will carry 150 Marks
Medical Standards Tests
Medical Standards Tests, to check the standards specified in Appendix-V, will be conducted only in respect of candidates who have appeared in the Interview/ Personality Test. The Medical Standards Tests will be conducted under the supervision of a Nodal Authority to be appointed by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
Final Selection / Merit
The merit list will be drawn on the basis of marks obtained by the candidates in the Written Examination and Interview/Personality Test.

How to Apply UPSC CAPF Recruitment 2025
Candidates are required to apply online only by using the website https://upsconline.gov.in. It is essential for the applicant to register himself/herself first at One Time Registration (OTR) platform, available on the Commission’s website, and then proceed for filling up the online application for the examination. OTR has to be registered only once in life time. This can be done anytime throughout the year. If the candidate is already registered, he/she can proceed straightway for filling up the online application for the examination.

UPSC CAPF 2025 Syllabus Exam Pattern
UPSC CAPF tentative structure of online examination (objective type) would be as follows:
- Paper I : General Ability and Intelligence - 250 Marks The questions in this paper will be of Objective (Multiple Answers) Type in which the questions will be set in English as well as Hindi.
- Paper II : General Studies, Essay and Comprehension - 200 Marks In this paper candidates will be allowed the option of writing the Essay Component in English or Hindi, but the medium of Precis Writing, Comprehension Components and other communications/language skills will be English only.
